What’s Tyler all about?

The most important thing I’ve learned is “effective failure” — the idea that failure is a critical learning tool in solving complex problems and that each problem has many solutions. This doesn’t teach me what to think. It teaches me to analyze problems critically, think outside the box, and find creative solutions.

On a more personal level, I’ve always been the quietest person in most rooms that I’m in. It took me a long time to realize this wasn’t bad. It’s helped me develop a keen sense of social awareness and become an attentive listener and observer. I’ve learned to recognize and appreciate individuals’ perspectives, understand their intentions, and empathize with their emotions.

I’m passionate about researching human-centered problems and developing more inclusive technology. But most importantly, UX Research is a platform for me to deeply understand people, give them a voice, and innovate in ways that positively impact their quality of life.
